Step: 1: Week 1: RECEIVING This week the recruits are issued their gear, they turn in medical records and are given shots and fill in paperwork.




Step: 2: Week 2: THE BARRACKS This week the recruits are put into platoons of 40, here they meet their drill instructor for their first time and learn the rules of the barracks.




Step: 3: Week 3: BAYONET ASSULT TRAINING This week the recruits learn how to use their bayonet properly against an opponent.




Step: 4: Week 4: PUGIL STICKS This week the recruits learn hand to hand combat against another opponent, here the sticks resemble their rifles.




Step: 5: Week 5: MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING This week the recruits learn hand to hand combat without a use of a weapon, they are taught different techniques. Not only is this for self defense but it also builds up your mental character.




Step: 6: Week 6: GRASS WEEK This week the recruits learn the proper techniques on shooting their M16s without ammunition.




Step: 7: Week 7: FIRING WEEK This week the recruits take test their skills on shooting their M16s but now with ammunition.




Step: 8: Week 8: THE CONFIDENCE COURSE This week the recruits are given obstacles and have to work together to overcome the obstacles.




Step: 9: Week 9: DAY MOVEMENT The recruits have to stick together, they go through tactical scenarios and they have to work together to ensure they are all safe.
